Question:

Can anyone recommend a NIC card that Ubuntu 7.10 or 7.04 can automatically detect?

  1. i am using ubuntu hardy 8.4 and working threw lan for now but try a belkin Wireless 54G and use NDISwrapper to run the drivers on linux


  2. You Rock!  You're using Ubuntu.  (is there a reason you're not running the latest version?)

    The latest version of Ubuntu really is much easier to setup wireless on.

    Personally, I have a linksys wusb54g that works great in Ubuntu.    I also have an AirLink wireless card that works even better.  Model # AWLC5025.  Although, I think any airlink will work out of the box. (You can get these at fry's electronics, if you have one near you or probably online as well.)
