I'd like a place that have good, hearty, french food done in the Quebec style. Expensive is OK.

  1. There's a great fast food restaurant called "Swartzees" in Montreal. I've heard people talk about going there for their corn beef sandwichs and fries. Not a great hit as a dining experience, but the food is great and inexpensive.

You can surf www.entertainment.com and type in Montreal as city and just look for the high priced coupons they have to both determine good restaurants and perhaps also, on exiting that domain, qualify for 2 for 1 deals, perhaps including the restaurant you've been looking for.

  2. from personal experience i don't remember names as they were hard lol. but when u walk around old Montreal there are many of them alot of them post their menus outside their doors so you know what they serve. if you are at a hotel as the concierge desk that's what they are there for help you out in their city. as far as tips for ordering at a restaurant make sure you pronounce every syllable in your order as they confused me saying spicy chicken with pizza? weird i know.
