  1. Dance really isn't about looking thin. Some of the girls in the dance company are really heavy and they're amazing dancers.

Eat plenty of protein, calcium, etc. If you don't drink milk consider taking calcium vitamins. (they usually come in gummies.. yummm) And if you're that concerned about your weight, you can try doing crunches, planks or leg raises (where you get into a cruch position and bring your legs up and down without letting them touch the ground or bend)

Good luck with ballet this fall! :)

  2. Really, you dont have to cut down to look thinner, or eat more to get fatter, just keep it the way u are, the only IMPORTANT thing is to make sure u like stay energzed and very hydraated!

  3. To keep up your energy you will want to have a nutritious diet. You will want plenty of protein, calcium, and fiber. Keeping yourself healthy is key!! People may pressure you into doing things that aren't good for your body just to fit into the 'perfect' ballet body. Personally the perfect ballet body for me is someone who is healthy, and strong. Not necessarily thin.

Remember to get a lot of rest and go easy on yourself, if you are just starting it may seem hard at first. Do what you can but don't push yourself too hard, it can be dangerous. Good luck!!
