Can anyone recommend a good anime for me?

I'm looking for a new anime to watch. I don't like bloody anime like elfen lied. And I don't like cowboy bebop, naruto or lucky star.

Hmm...Full Metal Alchemist isn't too bloody, and it offers many good philosophical points and is well animated with decent animation. It's depressing, though.

"Golden Boy" is a very decent anime!!

"Serial Experiment Lain" is bizarre but very mysterious also a good choice!!!

"Vampire Hunter D :bloodlust" Some serious animation!!!
