  1. My husband and I read "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" together.  We would read a chapter every Saturday night.  It was great for him, because he felt like he knew what was going on and made him feel more a part of it.  That book is also great, because it gives you estimates for how big the baby is.  (A pinto bean, a small lime, I think those were a couple of the comparisons.)  That was great, because at the beginning of my pregnancy, when I wasn't showing, it was hard for my husband to even grasp that I was in fact pregnant, and that he was in fact going to be a dad.

    Good luck and congratulations!

  2. The guys guide to surviving pregnancy, childbirth, and the first year of fatherhood! My husband does not stop laughing when he reads it! The man who wrote it did it in a fashion that men really relate too!

  3. Wow that is really great that he is taking some time to read a book about parenting.  I wish my husband would have done that.

  6. the first two what to expect books. if you think its hard to deal with your wife and her preg. issues wait till you realizes whats really going on in your womans body there is life being created stage by stage and i know she will apreciate your sensitiveity to what she is going through cause its not like she just goes to sleep and wakes up with baby.

  8. He can read the same books you read. (That's what I did)  There are so many books on the subject. I recommend one with lots of pictures.

  9. "prey" by michael crichton

  10. Check out an author by the name of Steve Biddulph. I read a book called "Raising Boys" and it was a real eye opener, he has other titles, he is a psychologist etc etc. But do check some of his titles out.

  11. "The Expectant Father"

  12. If your husband wants a good book to read then I would recommend "The Expectant Father" by Armin Brotts. He is a wonderful author and he has written more than one book about expecting fathers. This was the first book I had ever seen my husband sit down with. Good luck and God Bless.
