  4. THE TWILIGHT SERIES R THE BEST BOOKS IN THE WORLD I CAN TELL YOU ALMOST EVERY THING BOUT THEM

    SO I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

    =]

  5. The "His Dark Materials" series is excellent.  The Golden Compass is the first book of the three. Kind of a fantasy adventure, much like the Narnia tales.  I couldn't put it down.

  6. How about Biographies on various people that interest you? Or may I suggest books written by Bryce Courtney,he is such a powerful Author. Many of his books have become movies, such as The Power Of One or the Potato Factory

  7. Maybe you'd like some of Sarah Dessen's books. They are kind of angsty. (Like 'A Child Called It') I'd recommend 'The Truth About Forever', or 'Dreamland' by her. Those are my favorites.

You may enjoy the Twilight series, those are very popular with people who also enjoy Harry Potter.

Dan Brown's other book, 'Angels and Demons' is also very good, if you enjoyed 'The Da Vinci Code'.

The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeild is also very popular.

Also. The Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray is very good.

Most of those books are geared towards females, in the YA category. Contact me if you'd like more boy-ish books. Those I've got aplenty.

    Happy reading.

  8. If you are non-religious or unsure, try Gaia by James Lovelock.

  9. If you liked the Narnia series, you'll probably enjoy JRR Tokiens books, "The Hobbit", and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Also try the different series written by Janette Oke.  These include the Canadian West series, Seasons of the Heart series, and others.  You will need to read them in order and some have several books in the series, like the Keepsake series and Love Comes Softly series.  She has also written several  individual books about "Women of the West"  Virtually all these are pioneer stories and she's an excellent author.

Check out Louis L'amour's "The Last of the Breed" and "The Walking Drum".

Frank Peretti's "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness".

These are all excellent books by superb authors.

There are others I'd recommend, but start with these.

  13. A fascinating biography that is getting great reviews is "Ibn al-Haytham: First Scientist" by Bradley Steffens. It tells the inspiring, true story of a medieval Muslim scholar who overcame bouts of mental illness to develop the scientific method two hundred years before the Europeans learned of it—by reading his books. The author just received the Theodor S. Geisel Award for the best book published by a San Diego County author last year.
