im only 20 years old and i have no kids. i dont plan on having kids til 30 at the latest so it gives me at least 10 years to prepare. having kids is a major responsiblity that most young people dont take seriously. i dont want to be that young parent that doesnt know what they are doing. and then they'll get stressed and leave the child. when i have childern i what to step up to the plate and be a good father. one way i can prepare for being a good father is to prepare before hand. and the first step i want to start on is the pschology of a child. how to uplift them how to help them devlop healthy body image and self esteem. i know its really early but i want to be ready to man up to my responsibites.

do you think this too early?

  1. I think it's awesome to be proactive and to feel prepared (although you'll find if you have children nothing can completely prepare you). I highly recommend the Babywise series by Ezzo. I love his principles (not used in the extreme, of course). It's mainly based around sleeping & eating cycles, but when utilized correctly, result in a very content, alert, and well rested baby. It also discusses the baby's place in the family unit etc. Very useful tool to everyone I know that's used it. Hope that helps. Good luck.
