  1. How much have you got to spend?

A Fuji S9600 is a great buy at around £230

Amazing camera for a great price...

  2. A few of the older Canon Powershots have a "Super Macro" function that will photograph insects (or anything else that tiny).  Some that I know of include the Powershots A420, A430, and S2 IS.  Although these cameras are no longer in production, you should still be able to find some very good deals on these cameras on ebay.  If you want a new camera with this feature, check out the Powershot A470 and S5 IS.

  3. If you are looking to spend £200 or less, a canon powershot will do the trick.

You can buy certain models for around £150 new or you can shop around on places like gumtree and pick them up for less than £100 and in good condition.

Remember when using the super macro or macro function, good lighting is key to getting a great shot!

    Good luck
