Can anyone recommend a good golf course in Roanoke, VA?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm heading down a the end of March with a foursome (handicaps 10 - 25). Definitely going to play Hanging Rock, still looking for two more courses.

Most important criteria we are looking for are for the course to be in nice shape (for this early in the season) and have interesting layouts but not be too difficult.

We are considering Old Monterey and Blue Hills, but want to get some input from locals, not just from the websites.

  3. Hanging Rock in Salem is a good course that requiress shotmaking skills. It seems tighter than it actually plays.

    Ashley Plantation in Daleville is also a great course where both nines are very different.
