I would prefer a room with private bath and lift, since I'm an old f**t and can't get up and down stairs like in the past.

  1. Just behind and parallel to Maximilianstrasse between the Opera and the Hofbraeuhaus is a small street with the "Hotel zur Oper". Can't be more central then this. The hotel is small, has an elevator and could be to your liking and not too expensive also. All the Gemuetlichkeit of Munich is in walking distance. Have a good time in my home town.

  2. i stayed in the holiday inn really really nice suite also the train exit is right there and they have an great service you can see the hofbräuhaus for dinner but it will be hard to get a room there also the holidae in got a lift to all the floors ......

  3. Whatever you do, don't bother with the Hotel Splendid Dollman - it is not a convenient location and some of the staff have a real attitude problem. Your other respondent sounds to be onto a good one.
