  1. The Ashoka is a good Indian restaurant. It's near Charing Cross. Sorry to disagree with Minimoo, but my friend recently went to the Kama Sutra and said it was the worst Indian restaurant she had ever been to - really bad service and horrible tasting food.

  2. if you can try a free book from the library on Curry's and make your own hopefully it taste the best in Glasgow if you follow instructions correctly , i make my own and its always fantastic but a little hot the way i like it

    good luck

  3. try sitting bulls puddoccks in garngad

  4. TRY the SHENAZ Indian restaurant.

  5. You might struggle going to Cafe India since it burned down last year.

Mother India, The Wee Curry House or Mother India's Cafe are all really good.

  6. Not sure what part of Glasgow you're looking at but Kama Sutra at 331 Sauciehall Street is excellent.  Not sure if they still do them but they used to have low fat versions of popular dishes which was cool.

Mr Singh's is also really nice, that's down at Charing Cross (149 Elderslie Street) and they do cheap pre-theatre deals.

Just outside Glasgow, in a place called Auchinairn, the Dehli Darbar (4 Woodhill Road) is excellent and cannot be beat on price, quality and portion size.

You should check out www.5pm.co.uk if you decide to go with one of the first two - you're bound to get an excellent discounted deal.

  7. Café India voted best Indian restaurant in Britain

    So I would say there!

At a glittering "curry" evening at Hilton London, a restaurant in Glasgow was declared the best Indian restaurant in Britain.

"when myself and my wife went to cafe india for a meal, it was the best lamb balti i have ever had, the flavours were out of this world and the service we got was fantastic"

    mixed reviews though, so...

Best thing to do is walk past and round the corner to the excellent Panjea !!!

  8. shish mahal, its  round about great western road , either park or woodlands road they do a lovely curry enjoy.

  9. Well, I don't live in Glasgow, but there's a really great, exotic Indian restaurant in Alden, Kansas called Jagajeevehn's Love House.  It sells all different kinds of meats, like rabbit and platypus.  If you ever get the chance, you should really try it sometime!
