Can anyone recommend a good pre-theatre restaurant near to Victoria station in London?

We're off to see Billy Elliot tonight (5th October) and wanted to go for dinner first - but this is a part of London I'm not too familiar with. Would also like the place to be cheap (I know many restaurants do pre-theatre menus of in at six and out in time for the show). Type of food un-important - we'll eat anything :-)

  2. yep mcdonalds try the happy meal chicken mcnuggets alfreadocomes with a side order of shut the f#$% up

  3. There is a pub right opposite Victoria Train Station called the Shakespear (I think that's what it's called) they serve reasonably priced food and drinks.

  4. McDonalds.

    ROFL

  5. Jenny Lo's is a fantastic chinese restaurant about 5-10 mins walk (depending on how fast you walk!) from Victoria Station.

Food is fantastic, they don't use MSG, it gets a bit crowded, but is totally recommended.  Main course and a drink will probably set you back £8-9 depending on what you have.  Probably all you need as a pre-theatre meal.

  6. McDonalds?

  7. There's a relatively new complex just down the road from the theatre (can't remember the road names but it's right, if you're facing the theatre). There are a few restaurants and bars there to choose from.

Also Pizza Express, ASK, one of the steak house chains etc. along the road the opposite way. Or if you want something really quick there's always the Cornish Bakehouse Cornish pasties on the corner (if you don't mind paying 2.50 for one!).

Tiles restaurant is not far on Buckingham Palace road - nice relaxed atmosphere and also Bumbles (haven't been there) just a few doors up from there. On the other side of the road there there's an Italian too.

    Loads of choice!

  8. Christohers next to the station.
