  1. what you want is a lightscribe dvd burner. to my knowledge there is no such thing as a printer that will print directly onto the disk. most people who label their disks print a stick-on label then attach it to the disk . i don't get a warm fuzzy about the glue holding when spinning the disk at the speeds a modern cd player spins (1 little slip and you wreck the cd player forever. so i use a permanent maker to label my cds/dvds. go buy a lightscribe burner from e-bay and quit asking for something that does'nt exist at this time.

  2. Canon are pretty good - this one for example. Note that the software for CD printing doesn't work properly on a Mac, though. http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/907859/a...

  3. Epson R340

  4. Canon Prima MP610 does CD/DVD. Cartridges are resonable as well.

    Have a look at

Just got mine and I am very pleased with it. It is even better as it is an all-in-one unit.

  5. Stay away from epsons. There very unrealiable, i've have three different epson cd printers and none have lasted a year before breaking.

Canon are quality printers, i'm currenty using an ip4500 for dvd printing, i've have it a few months now without any issues.
