  1. Vauxhall Meriva, its got a huge boot and a great back seat, we can fit 3 car seats on ours. You should get a decent one for your budget and they last ages.

  2. Toyota Corolla  VVTI GLS - they never go wrong.

You can pick one up off autotrader - great value. I've got one that's 8 years old has done 40k and still looks and feels new.

  3. if you get the parkers buying cars guide that tells you of the common faults each car has...well worth the money. ford mondeo or focus aren't too bad a bad though

  4. aj is right, you cannot beat toyota.

  5. Japanese (NOT KOrean) are generally very good Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi a have best reputations.

Avoid anything by General Motors Vauxhall as they have big problems later , Ford are OK as are VW, but BMW have huge problems as they get older.

try autotrader for current availability and also check out which Car in your library as they give unbiased opionions on used cars.

An Yes Daewoo Kia and Hyundai dont rate too good as new or used.

  6. Mazda 3

  7. subaru its the best **** youll put your money into my friends dad has an old old old *** ugly c**p one, never any major problems with it, just brake pads and oil, and one time a window regulator

  8. we have a ford focus - its a T reg and has done 120 000 miles and is still going strong.  You could pick up a 2nd hand one for £4k easily.
