I am looking for an afforable resturant to accomodate 4 adults and a 4 year old child with a great atmosphere and food in Massachusetts (Boston, South Shore, Framingham (central Ma) area. My mother does not goes out to resturant often, so I need a resturant that would really impress her. For food choice I am open to pretty much anything except French, Italian, Afircan, And Greek cuisine. I am not sure how he would like those food choices. We are also thinking about all you can asian or seafood cusine. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  1. You should have made reservations a month ago.

Mother's Day is one of the most popular days for restaurants.

Hopefully these places can still accomodate a party of 5 at such a late hour:

    10 Center Street

    Da Vinci

    Truffles Grille & Wine Bar

    One Bistro

    Masona Grill

    Asterisk

    Hungry Mother

    Ivy

    Sagra

    Sibling Rivalry

  2. Cracker Barrel is a favorite Mother Day's spot in my area.

  3. you can go to leagal sea food the food is good and a nice atmoshpere too and well........ummmm sea food

  4. There is a jazz brunch on Sundays at a place called Jonny D's. The food is fairly inexpensive,  very good classic American breakfast food, but in a classy and clean setting. A jazz guitarist plays the whole time in a fun but unintruding way. The resteraunt is in Somerville, in Davis square.

  5. I would have to recommend either P.F. Chang's China Bistro in the new part of the Natick Mall, Naked Fish at the corner of route 30 and Speen Street, or Legal Sea Foods in Framingham or Chestnut Hill, both of which are located on Rt. 9 East.

Wherever you decide to go, I STRONGLY advise calling to see if the place is taking reservations, I know the 3 I mentioned above are.

Chang's doesn't have a separate kids menu, but they do have kid oriented items on the regular menu. They also have these wiki sticks that kids can play with and it comes with an activity booklet. They also usually have crayons, you just have to ask for them. And they also have kid chopsticks.

Naked Fish and Legals both have a kids menu. Naked fish no longer has crayons for kids, but sometimes, if you ask the host desk, they can spare a pen or pencil. Legals does have crayons though and the host will hand them out with the kids menu.

  6. Splurge a bit for your Mom and head to Top of the Hub...awesome views of the city and excellent food...kids love it as well...it's located on the 52nd floor of the Prudential building...call now, it may be too late...

  7. McCormick's & Schmicks  is a great place, they have several locations. I take my mom there for lunch and dinner often. It is a family style restaurant, mostly seafood but many other choices also. Checkout their website.

  8. the Charthouse. Doesn't your mother deserve the very best?
