Hi there. I am looking to purchase a safe, reliable medium to large size car. I am more concerned about safety over fuel economy. I want a solid built car...perhaps a model around the year 2000 and up..prefer north american...ford,chrysler,gm...but open to suggestions..Thanks so much :)

  1. I had a 1989 Buick LeSabre that lasted me 9 years. It was a great car until I got alot of mileage on it, like over 100,000.

  2. Ford has made some very solid vehicles lately. Buicks are good cars too, and some Chevy's. I would stay away from Chrysler.

  3. Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Marquis are solid large cars but Honda is more solid in terms of reliability, although not size.

  4. I worked for a driving school owned by Ford we drove Honda  Reliable work horses  people keep them for years  see   Consumer reports
