I have a BT home-hub 8105. My main phone point is situated behind my front door, and my pc is in a room above the phone point, connected by a long telephone ext cable.

The hub has a green wireless light , and a small antenna. Can anyone recommend a good adapter? my pc is windows vista. I`m totally dazed & confused by the different ones for sale and all the jargon! I`m looking to pay about £20 or there about.

  1. Sure, I have a d-link - cheap, small, and didn't need any drivers to work with XP, or Linux - but Vista did have trouble until I wasted some time. Install Windows driver from CD, delete software, download newer driver for vista, disable services not compatible with Vista etc. But if you can install a driver (using cable) by downloading it would have been fine.

Word of advice - let Vista search for the drivers and install by itself, don't use installation discs with most stuff.

Great wireless device, good range and speed and no problems - for about 8 months now.
