I want to know where to go and where not to go. I am looking for an alternative route to cure depression, anxiety, insomnia, eating disorders and low self-esteem.

  1. Contact Dr. Marc Halpern at the California College of Ayurveda in Grass Valley, CA.  The college itself isn't residential, per se, but I am sure they could put you in touch w/ a place in the community where you could stay while undergoing treatment there.  Many folks choose to stay at the Sivananda Ashram which is very close by.  The folks at Phillips School of Massage in Nevada City, CA (next town over from Grass Valley, eastbound on Hwy. 49) may be able to help you with housing as well, as many students there are from out of town.  There's also a really nice co-op called Briarpatch Co-op which has a huge message board where you may be able to either find assistance or post a message yourself.
