Can anyone recommend a nice, but inexpensive to moderately priced hotel in Venice?

I've been to Vienna, Austria before and I loved it. I want to go back, but when I do I want to visit Italy for a few days as well this time. I am thinking that Venice is a good place to go, but I'm open to other suggestions as well. My biggest question to all of you is, do you know of an inexpensive to moderately priced hotel that is still on the nice side? I want to have a really nice experience. (Somewhere around the equivalent of US$150.00/per night)

I think your best bet would be to go to

Check out each individual website, look at the hotels and check to see what the rates are for the month you plan to go in (could be peak or off peak)
