  1. Feenie's in Kits.

    Sandbar in Granville Island.

  2. I not sure how close you consider around, but we enjoy the Diva at the Metropolitan on Howe (downtown).  It's close, but not walking distance.

  3. there's a restaurant called Bridges in Granville Island itself, really good. Just on the outside there's also Pacific Culinary Arts School...they have a 3-course menu prepared by student chefs

  4. Hi, if you don't mind spending a little bit of money I have two suggestions.  First would be Gotham in downtown Vancouver, the best steaks ever and everything else they have on the menu is excellent (chicken, fish, seafood etc.) the atmosphere is a little younger but excellant, great artwork, a guy playing a grand piano in the lounge etc.  Second choice is Hy's Steak House on Hornby.  They have more then just steaks but all the food is excellant.  You can also watch them   make select things table side and also an open window to the kitchen to see them do the steaks.  My only warning is that it is an "old boys club" so there are a lot of lawyers, doctors etc.  a date would be very comfortable but not the place for a stagett.  If you go the Seafood Thermidore is the best.  Enjoy!!
