Can anyone recommend a particular outfit/boat for snorkeling in Cabo? Planning a trip in early Jan?

Planning a trip in January and there are so many to choose from! What about Oceanus, Ocean Rider, Caborey, Ricellina, or Transcabo or Jolly something?

Hola!  The best snorkeling in Cabo takes place in two popular swim bays that are outside of town (Chileno and Santa Maria)  Most of the guides take you for a couple of hours.  I have been out with Oceanus and Caborey.  I've seen the pirate ship, it looks fun.

I agree with bluecabo's response below.  Water temperatures in January can be a bit chilly.  But you have the chance of also spotting a whale!

Oceanus, Sunrider, Cabo Rey, La Princesa, Ricelena, Bucaneer Queen (Pirate ship), are good options. Transcabo is a transportation company, they don't have a boat. Jolly something, never heard of them.

Also consider that the water temperature will be little cold in January (at least for me).

During your trip, you may spot some whales, and stop at the famous Arch to take your vacation photo.

Depending on the boat, they will take you to Chileno or Santa Maria Bay, both excellent places.

Also, you may consider to bring your own equipment, rent a car, a go there anytime after the boat trip, it's only 15 minutes drive from Cabo San Lucas or from San Jose del Cabo.

I found out about them when I was looking into snorkeling companies for a trip we took last month. Believe it or not, found them through our longtime mex car insurance company.  We decided to go ocean kayaking instead - but it's got a lot of good info.  I'll post below.
