Can anyone recommend an Airframe & Powerplant license prep school in the DC area.?

I'm looking for one of those 1-2 week schools where they pretty much teach you how to pass the tests. Something with in a days driving distance from DC.

Airframe and Powerplant schools will only accept you if you have an FAA 8610-2 signed by a FAA airworthiness inspector.  So I assume you have two original copies in hand.

The A&P mechanics prep course is for applicants who meet FAR 65.71-65.77 only.  Under these regulations, you must have a certain type of mechanical experience before the F.A.A. will allow you to take the F.A.A. written exams.  The required experience for the powerplant mechanic rating is a minimum of 18 months working with tools on any type of aircraft engine. The required experience for the airframe mechanic rating is a minimum of 18 months working with tools on any type of airframe. If you want both ratings, and your experience was a combination of airframe and powerplant, then you need a total of 30 months experience (not 36).

There are several schools around the country, but the best methods is just sitting down in your favorite chair and begin to read the questions and explanations to get a good understanding,  You can attend a school for $800 to $1100.00 for a one week cram course or you can purchase the tests question, answers and explanations for about $50.00.
