Can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel or B & B in Los Cabos in lower Baja, Mexico?

Question

Would prefer to stay at a "middle class" hotel rather than a more expensive one.

Would like either a pool on the premises, or close to the ocean.

I'd been there for job a few years ago. I realized that the prices on San José del Cabo is much more cheap than Los Cabos. Search for this area, I've stayed on some little place, which was very clean and commfortable. Papagayos it was the name if my memory doesn't fail, however, I've seen some places there, with an average of prices.

Everywhere in Los Cabos is close to the ocean. If you can do without a 'pool on the premises' or the 'all inclusive options' offered by the better known hotels you can find several decent,clean "middle class" hotels for less than half the price of what the more popular hotels charge.It may take you 5-10 minutes longer to get to the beach and you will have to pick a restaurant all by yourself from the 100 plus  that are available to you in Los Cabos, but if you can do those two simple things it will cost you less than half of what your fellow travelers will be paying for essentially the same thing. The other poster (libertad V) is correct about San Jose del Cabo.It is also where I choose to stay to avoid the legions of drunk and often obnoxious tourists in Cabo San Lucas.
