  1. Hi,

I have used this site to find my hotels in Rome at several occasions:

    http://www.italyexposed.com/bookings.sht...

And specially this one has helped me a lot:

I hope you find a suitable one for your needs!

  2. in Piazza Repubblica, right there next to the Mc Donals.. I forgot the name....

  3. Hotel Milton Roma

    http://www.miltonroma.com/eng/hotel_milt...

We stayed there last February and it was still very new. Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable (even for 2 adults and 2 kids). The breakfast had variety, not everything was awesome but it was good enough to fill us up.

Location . . . I think 1 kilometere from the Coliseum, it was a cehap cab fare into the city and close to a metro stop.

  4. grand hotel excelsior and its presidential suite

  5. www.acj.it/tritone

  6. You should stay at Hotel Beautiful just seconds away from Termini stazione, my uncle owns it. Its clean, affordable, convenient, and the staff is really friendly! also there is a laundry and Internet shop connected.

  7. I use the venere.com site for booking hotels here in Italy. They have a large database - over 500 hotels in Rome alone. You can use a map to sort for a particular district in the city you're interested in and then sort by price, guest rating,... http://en.venere.com/italy/. The site has a lot of reviews by previous guests to get an idea of what to expect from the area, the hotel, and the staff.

Any of the central districts in Rome are convenient for sightseeing. The Trevi, Colosseo Foro Romano, Pantheon, Navonna, and Piazza di Spagna districts, as shown on the venere map, are all within easy walking distance of all the major sights.

If you're looking for something a little more upscale, the Hotel Regno and Hotel Cesari (3 star, but very nice), both located between the Pantheon Trevi Fountain, are very good. Hotel Regno (4 star) is a particularly good bargain. http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome/fontana...

    http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome/pantheo...

An alterantive to the Cesari is the Hotel Sole al Pantheon (4 star) which is right at the Pantheon http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome/pantheo...

Another excellent upscale option is the Hotel Capo d'Africa (4 star) near the Colosseum. http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome/kolosse... .

  8. Walk a little save a lot. Roman Hotels are extremely expensive especially with your requirements. We stayed at a wonderful 3 star hotel just outside the wall in the Salario Area. The hotel is called the Hotel Villa Florence it can be booked on line through all the usual searches. I would recommend nycerome.com.  There is a bus at the front door that takes you downtown in 15 minutes. or to the Metro in 5 minutes. The Hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Train Station (10 minutes by bus) There is wonderful neighbourhood restaurant a block away. If that doesn't suit use nycerome.com for others. There are no dumps on that web site.
