Can anyone recommend any good vegetarian cookbooks for students?

I'm moving to university later this year, and although I already know quite alot of recipes, I will need at least one cookbook to take away for when I need inspiration. I will be on a shoestring budget, and therefore can't use recipes with alot of ingrediants (as I've found that chefs like Deliah Smith use). Can anyone recommend me any good vegetarian cookbooks for someone on a limited budget? I eat alot of vegetables, pasta, beans, pulses, lentils, etc.

  1. hiya if u go to ur local Libray u will find  vegetarian cookbooks then u can look through them and sea which one u like also their r lots of free recipes on the vegetarian society web site.

  2. Vegan Bites: Recipes for Singles would be a good book to have because it shows recipes with 1 or 2 portions instead of 6.  Although you will have to change some of the measurements into metric because it's an American book.

  3. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_...

    there are loads on amazon!

    good luck at uni!

  4. How about the "Student's Vegetarian Cookbook" by Carole Raymond?  It sounds like just what you're looking for: http://www.amazon.com/Students-Vegetaria...

Amazon has a number of similar books, geared towards students who don't have a lot of time, money or kitchen equipment.

  5. The Moosewood Cookbook, The Enchanted Broccoli Forest, anything put out by the moosewood collective.  All should be available on Amazon..

  6. The Student's Vegetarian Cookbook, by Carole Raymond (note there are other cookbooks with this title).  I have a copy and I'm not even vegetarian.  The recipes are really straightforward, and they don't use a ton of ingredients or have long instructions.  Highly recommended.

  7. If you think you will crave home cooking, better take along with you Vegan Vittles.

  8. The starving students vegetarian cookbook

  9. have you read "Asian meals made easy" ? it's the best vegi cook book i have read.

  10. I recommend the Student's Vegetarian Cookbook, by Carole Raymond, too. My roommate and I are vegetarian and vegan. We keep things like: bread, peanut butter, nuts seeds, fruit and veggies in our dorm fridge. We also make up a weekly veggie chili or pasta dish in the dorm kitchen. You want to check and see what food the school meal plan has. Ours isn't all that bad, it has some veggie alternatives plus a killer salad bar. Being a lacto-ovo vegetarian at college like I am is easier then being a vegan.

  11. amazon has one .
