Question:

Can anyone recommend any nutritional supplements that help clean out the lymphatic system? Herbs or minerals?

I do get lymphatic drainage massages but I have a lot of congestion and, no, I do not have an infection or, if I do, it's something really chronic and not noticeable. I suspect that I have some sort of nutritional imbalance, I lack something that the lymphatic system needs to work properly. Any suggestions?

  1. Found this on a website about cleanses:

Lymph Rejuvenator™Helps cleanse and support the lymphatic system, lymph nodes and vessels and the overall defense mechanisms of the immune system. Helps drain and transport lymph fluids, while assisting in removal of toxins, tissue wastes, and cellular debris.*

    Ingredients:

Ocotillo stem, Red root, Red Clover blossoms†, Cleavers aerial parts, Stillingia root, Astragalus root†, Echinacea Angustifolia root, Mullein leaf, Southern Prickly Ash bark, Licorice root†, distilled water, grain alcohol†, and glycerin

†Certified Organically Grown, all others Wild Harvested with care or High Quality herbs

  2. Ground flaxseed. Mix a few tbsp. with vit. D milk. You will get instant results. red clover and cleavers also help. best of luck.

  3. As with anything not functioning well with one's body, make sure you get enough sleep.

Secondly, stay away from regular tea, and instead drink herbal teas.  I recommend strawberry or kiwi tea in the mornings and chammomile and green tea throughout the day.  Before going to sleep have some lemon balm tea as it helps you to rest better.  These will help all of your body.

Let these be your only source of caffeine.  No chocolate, soda or coffee for 30 days minimum.  Trust me, they do more harm than good.  Try to drink a glass of regular cranberry juice every other day.

You may not like garlic but try to get a clove in a day for your new "diet."  Increase your intake of dark green vegetables and fruits.  I recommend apricots and cantalope for the fruits since they have more nutrients and vitamins than the others do, but a little variance won't hurt.

Dark greens such as kale, brocolli, green leaf lettuce and spinach are rich it beta carotine and calcium.

Unsalted nuts and seeds will be good, and flax oil is okay - just have your doctor run a blood check first before using flax oil.  This is something people find out the hard way of having an allergic reaction.

These are the only herbs recommended to detox yourself with:

    Echinacea, Astragulus, Cleavers, Goldenseal

*Do not drink any tea if you are pregnant.

  4. Why do you think your lymphatic system doesn't work properly?

There is no medically proven herb or mineral to clean out the lymphatic system. A healthy liver should do the trick.

  5. Do the meal plan for the first link in my YA profile and you can also use Natures Sunshine Lymph Drain suppliment.

I suggest the meal plan over anything else. It will make your body alkaline in about 8 weeks.  If it is something chronic it will change.
