Can anyone recommend good FREE software to convert a DVD for use on a portable player (Pocket PC)?

Pocket PC supports wmv video, you may google search for handbrake, it's a nice free dvd converter.

I'd prefer using aimersoft dvd ripper, it's easy to use and works pretty good for me. Anyway, it's not free, I think it well worth the money. If you need detailed info, here is a guide for you
