  1. I have to agree with both of the two prior answers go  with the Vizio.  I have the 37" and I would never ever buy another brand.  I'm saving up now for the 42".

BJ's has the Vizio 37" on sale for 749.00

and also you will get a 1080I picture out of the 37".

    Best of luck.

Awolf why dont you have a email address so we can email you,

Also have you ever even seen a Vizio tv or are you just going by what consumer reports says?

  2. get the 32" vizio its $597 at walmart its the cheapest set youll get without being too cheap of quality. Its also in your exact range.

    hope this helps

  3. 1080i useless in 32"????

    No.

Never heard of such a thing.

    Get a Vizio.

My sister has one and it's a great tv for the price.

  4. Ahhh, the Vizio know-nothings return! Ignore them, Vizio is third tier or "junk" TV. Top 32" and 26" LCDs, for both performance AND reliability, are Panasonic and Sony. If they are too much, even in a 26" which closer to your budget than 32", look at Toshiba, or even Sharp.

If you can't afford one of those, wait until you have saved up enough to buy quality. Only Sharp has 1080p in the 32" (and in the 26" in Japan), and it's pretty much a marketing ploy, so don't worry about it. Mere mortals can't tell the difference between a 1080p and a 720p/1080i in a screen size under about 50", unless they sit with their noses only inches away from the screen. And you'll never be able to tell the difference between 720p and 1080i!
