  1. I have a programme that I use for this very purpose. It's called 'ExplorerXP'. It' lists all of your programs etc on-screen without the need to individually right-click on each one and check 'Properties'. It's free and works well. If you can't find it by searching elsewhere, and are willing to provide me with your email details, I'll attach a copy and forward it on to you.

  2. I f you have Windows, you don't need an additional program.

RIGHT Click on Start and then on Explore.  Find your file (or folder) and right click it, the click on Properties,  Make sure the General Tab is showing (if not click on it at the top), it will tell you the size of the file (or folder).

  3. If you have no problems with shareware downloads I would recommend download TuneUp Utilities. It has a very good sub-application called TuneUp Disk Space Explorer. It first scans your computer for a few minutes first, then gives very detailed info about the files and folders present on your computer. It presents graphs and percentages and all that in a very attractive manner. I use it and it's interface is great.

In addition it shows the top 100 space consuming files, and you can sort the files and know which file in music is the largest, or in the videos, pictures, documents, etc sections. Also, detailed info about all the files and folders on the computer.

Try it out here, for 30 days: http://www.download.com/TuneUp-Utilities...

I'm sure you will find this application useful.

    Hope this helps.

  4. You can get all this info from Windows explorer. Just right click and properties on any folder you want details on. You should find it by "start--programs--accessories

  5. right click the folder, hit properties, and it tells you its size
