Can anyone recommend some cheap, good quality cameras?

Question

I'd like a camera that takes good quality pictures, but doesn't completely wash out my pockets. It needs to be relatively small, able to fit in a messenger bag. Digital.

I'm by no means a photographer. I just want a camera that will give me Flickr quality pictures, you know?

the best place is to look at best buy and circuit city. also walmart has some fairly decent cameras for a cheap price. most of the prices have gone down quite a bit in the past few years. i bought an olympus package in february for $155 and it included a charger, the small pocket camera, lens cleaner, a case and also the memory card. it was  a very good deal and the camera is absolutely wonderful!
