Can anyone recommend some drills for improving my game?

I need some drills to improve the following:long straight shots(they kill me, I'd much rather have to cut it), bank shots, and setting up my next shot. I need to get a better feel for how a spinning cue ball will affect the path of the object ball. Thanks for your help!

  1. plenty of practice line balls along middle of table good practice

  2. I will tell you two drills that help me I  had the same problem drill 1 take the nine and cue ball roll them on table by hand then shoot from where they lay make the nine then leave cue as is roll nine back on table shoot as is repeat drill until you can make nine ball several times in a row drill 2 rack a rack of six ball brake take cue in hand and try to run out from there if you miss start over keep going until you can run at least three times in a row it really help me got the drills from Bert kins er tapes

  3. I suggest you go to your local pool hall and ask some of the more seasoned players to provide you with some drills. If you have a table at home you can try some of the drills listed on the sites I listed.
