Can anyone recommend somewhere in Egypt?

Question

me and my bf want to go to Egypt for our holiday.

we want to see the pyramids and anything else we can go to see. the temples, the sphinxes etc.

if anyone can recommend any good hotels in nice areas that are near the the sights itwould be really helpful. thanks

Meridian Hotel near the pyramids is very good I went their once and its really good the place is clean and they treat you well

Moreover it is near most of the touristic places of Egypt

When i went i stayed in the Raddisson Hotel its in Taba its really pretty, they only thing is its in the middle of nowhere, you can get trips from there but there expensive.

we stayed in Taba in the Sea Star hotel and it was really nice! it is quite a while away from the pyramids and everything else but the hotel arranges coach trips there and you get to stay in a very nice (and VERY big) hotel in Cairo which i right near the pyramids. they also arrange lots of other trips like going to swim or dive with the dolphins. we did diving with te dolphins and it was absolutely fabulous!!! i really recommend that you do it! :D

Hey... Ive been to Egypt 9times and recently returned from spending 2months out there... oh and I'm moving there next month!! lol so you could say I love the place....

I would suggest you stay in Luxor,,,, this is where you will find Luxor temple, karnak temple, The Valley of the Kings and Queens and Tutankhamun's tomb... There is also various museums. Luxor is right on the river nile and its a chance for the tourist to peak into the 'real' Egypt. Depending on how long your going for I would also suggest a quick flight or night train to Cairo to see the Pyramids and Sphinx. This will not be too expensive. Also Aswan is only 3hours from Luxor so if you get a chance arrange a visit to Abu Simbel temple.

Hi

I have been to Egypt twice and am going again this year, we have stayed in Sharm El sheikh and Taba, I wouldn't recommend Taba unless you want a really quiet holiday as there is nothing to do there as it is just hotels.  If you stay in Sharm el Sheikh you can do a day trip to see the pyramids,sphinx etc (they are in Cairo) it costs about £100 - but that includes your flight, entrance to the museum, pyramids , temples etc  and lunch.  It takes 40 mins to fly there and 6 hours by coach.!  for about £40 less. You can book these trips thru your hotel. or you could stay in Cairo,  but I personally think sharm is nicer.   Mpst hotels in Sharm are fully inclusive

Iv never been to Egypt but my friend said that Sharm El Shiekh is great.

& You could probably get a tour bus or something to the other areas to see pyramids etc xx

Go to Red Sea, Sharm El- Sheikh or Hurghada, you will love it there then you can fly from there to make a tour in Cairo to see the pyramids and sphinxes.

All 4& 5 stars are there which you will find is good value for us because our pound sterling is like more then 10 times of their pound, you can stay in the Hilton or the Shiraton for $100 per night i.e about 55 of our pounds and you can enjoy good breakfast too.
