Can anyone recommend the Canon PowerShot A560 digital camera for making YouTube videos?

I'm looking at this great looking camera that an acquaintance of mine has. I want to be able to make decent quality videos for YouTube (that's about it) and have a good camera in one. Would this one be able to do it (make at least 6 minute videos if I have the right memory)? Any info on this model would be great. Thanks.

Howdy this is a great camera a Camcorder not so much. You can record up to 20 minutes with a good memory stick, but Youtube makes the quality horrible. Here is a video filmed with a canon A560 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg2aD1ywR...

The A560 is a good camera for this, but I would recommend looking for an A570.

Why? The A570 IS has image stabilization. The 570 is also a little more versatile, because it has manual exposure controls.

Don't bump all the way up to the latest version, the A590. While it is a very nice camera, (I own one), for some reason, they downgraded the video to 20fps from the 30fps that the 570 and 560 have. The videos might seem choppier as a result.

Of course, if this is strictly for youtube, you'll be fine with any of these cameras, since they all get downsampled to a much lower res and frame rate on youtube.
