Can anyone recommend what exercises I can do to prepare my muscles for a horse riding holiday?

I'm going on a week's horse riding holiday in 10 days and haven't ridden for a while so am worried I'm going to be dreadfully stiff from long days in the saddle. Can anyone tell me what exercises I should do to prepare and strengthen the muscles that I'm going to be using? Thanks.

  1. Lots of squats. I Broke my hip falling off in february and ive been doing alot of stretches and squats. anything to your back and thighs. Its good to put the muscles you would use to ride in motion before you get on but flexibility is important so you dont get so stiff.

    work it out then stretch it out.

    thats what my physical therepist told me to do!
