MUSE is very good. not too much hard rock, but very enjoyable rock none the less. may as well try them out.

look up stockholm syndrome by muse, and knights of cydonia. limewire them shouldnt take more than 5 minutes to get em =]

Thats seems to be the only metal I can think of from the top of my head...sorry.

But those bands rock pretty hard.

anything three days grace, linkin park ,sum 41, or my chemical romance. they arent annoying. pretty good. i dont know if they are your taste though. bullet for my valentine- tears dont fall is good too.
