This restaurant - there may have been more than one - only served savoury and sweet pancakes, and the savoury ones were delicious. I can't seem to find any reference on the net, but I think they were called Texas Pancake house - but maybe not! And I think they were in the West End.....anyone help?

  1. Yes, the last time I saw one is in Kings Road Chelsea and I think its still there. The Pancake House, Kings Road. Yummy I am sure and yes they only sell sweet and savoury ones.

Better than we make at home I bet.

  2. I remember something similar, My Old Dutch, which i think still exists, not sure if were in 60's though.

  3. sorry never heardof them

  4. Do you mean My Old Dutch?

  5. Sorry not heard of it.  But sounds nice!

  6. I used to regularly go to "The Pancake House" on Tottenham Court Road in London in the 60s.  My favourite was pancakes or waffles, with butter, maple syrup and squirty cream.  Utterly delicious, I can taste them now, but just think of all the e-numbers, calories and cholesterol!!

I have never heard of the Texas Pancake House.

  7. I'M old but not that old.
