Can anyone remember the name of this arcade game ?

Question

two guys (I think one has blond hair and one has brown/black)have to fight there way through various levels.

They collect/eat things like whole chickens to get there power up.

The only other thing I can remember is that it was one of the most popular arcade games about 12 - 15 years ago.

I can only think of one and that's gauntlet. You could have up to four players, three men and one woman. They ate chickens to get there power up. You had to fight your way through maze like levels (there were 100s)

These guys have bundled game download packages at their arcade. Look for the .pdf files...

You can look through their .pdf file listings associated with their bundles to see which titles they contain. They also explain how to embed them in a website, or run stand alone. They have the .gif files and the .swf files. It's like embedding an image but you need the .swf files for the game. They can explain.

Also check " OpenWeb Downloads " - you can Google it to find their site. They are pretty good and also have a forum if you need help and you can actually try out many of the games in their arcade first.

If its he one I am thinking of it was about the guys girlfiend being kidnapped and they had to get her back.  Right? or am I thinking of another game?

It is either final fight or Streets of rage.

So the main character would be Cody (F. Fight) or Axel (Streets of Rage)

I know you can get the emulator for sega and to get the roms for it.
