Can anyone share experiences of volunteering in Kathmandu, Nepal?

Question

I was recently accepted to teach photography at an english language school in nepal on a volunteer basis. I am hoping to start my career off as a traveling photographer this way. I am looking for some stories about volunteering in Kathmandu and information about other opportunities that the city may offer me.
