  1. Your son  being an adult will be tret the same as a complete stranger regarding a Visa.It is the same old story you come here then you want your families to join you and share in that pot of gold called benefits.save your time he hasnt a chance.

  2. Sorry, but is it that easy? If I wanted to apply for a family member of mine to stay in the Philippine's, would it be that easy? Please dont take offence, but would it be that simple for us to apply?

  3. you can try and post your question on immigrationboards.com

    your son is 18 years of age, therefore considered an adult;

    How can I qualify to join my parents in the UK?

    You, or your parent, must show that you:

    are under 18 years of age, and

    cannot support yourself financially, are not married or in a civil partnership and are not living independently away from your parents.

    A child cannot normally go to live in the UK if one parent is living abroad, unless the parent in the UK has sole responsibility for the child, or if there are special reasons why the child should be allowed to join the parent in the UK.

    looks sort of hard to do in view of his age,

    perhaps you could see if he would qualify for employment?

  5. depends on the purpose of his visit. is it just a short term stay as a visit? then he needs a tourist visa. is it a permanent stay? then he needs an immigrant visa. is it to work? then he needs a work visa.
