  1. If you can stay in the ramblas area you won't be disappointed (Liceu or Gracia).   Try the following website www.holidaycityeurope.com/barcelonahotel... Hope this helps.

We live here in Spain and have stayed just off the ramblas in Barca. Enjoy your holiday.

  2. go to the following website...you'll find most of the hotels in Barcelona listed there...You can compare prices, etc. 3 and 4 star hotels are your best bet, 5 stars are too expensive, and 2 stars may not me too good quality...

    www.discount-hotels.es

Good areas would be La Rambla, Paseo de Gracia, Paseo del Paralelo, all  central streets, within walking distance of most things you will want to visit.

I stay at the Senator Hotel, but it is not in the center of town, it's close to the Barcelona football stadium. Also excellent....

There is a magnificent old hotel just across from the Gothic Cathedral, the Hotel Colón, but it's a bit expensive.

  3. Hotel Aston in the Eixample district. It's near the university, well-lit at night and close to the tubes, but also an easy walk to lots of the sights. Have a look on Expedia.

  4. We are a conference company and we use Hotel Arts and Gran Marina hotels a lot.

We put our high end clients there and football teams stay there so you're bound to see someone famous when you're there.

  5. Try the NH De Da Duc la victoria. Its the NH group of hotels. It is £15 in a taxi from airport to hotel door. The hotel is modern but in an old building with little ornate balcony, very picturesque. It is 2 minutes off the Ramblas, it has a resteraunt. clean modern bedrooms, comfy beds,  and nice bathrooms, I have stayed here and would go again, great spot.

  6. try travel republic .////////////////////

  7. I went to Barcelona last September and stayed in a hotel called "Hotel Oriente". It's situated on Las Ramblas, 4*, but really resonably priced. Close to everything etc. If you haven't been before, I would recommend the restaurants by the harbour, they do really good razor clams.

    Enjoy your holiday!

  8. Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details

  9. I visited Barcelona about 2 years ago and stayed in the Tryp Apollo which practical in the centre of town. The hotel is excxellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful. If you go onto the website below, which is part of the Tryp group and you will find some good offers with the hotel. The Rambla is about 10 minutes walking away as is the trade fair centre and the harbour.

Recommend the city bus tour which leaves near the harbour as you will then see all the sights and not miss out any of the splendid city!
