Not as straightforward as it sounds - it must be a daytime meeting, should have some possibilities for 'interest', should be quiet and intimate enough for us to get to know each other without shouting... not too far from transport. Weather could be good or bad so need inside and outside maybe. Not expensive. Some food/drink possibilities but not looking for 'dining out' as such. Central/South London best.

  1. An art gallery

  2. how about a walk round hyde park if the weather is really nice, and if it turns lousy, then go to Bayswater where you can find food, drink and watch a movie in Whiteleys

Obviously pray for good weather because then you can have a picnic in the park. That'll probably turn out to be a really cheap but enjoyable date.

    Have fun

  3. 30 restaurants in London's most romantic restaurants:

  4. try a coffee shop

  5. Thorpe Park, one of the London zoos, The London Eye, Covant Garden, loads of choices. Chessington World of Adventure.

  6. your bedroom. Condoms at the ready...

  7. If you don't know the person, best to keep it easy cos you're only really seeing if you get on. Coffee/bar is best. Either of you can leave at any point after one drink, or if you're getting on spin it out. Also it's not too expensive!

Second/third date should require more though, but should be a doddle if first one goes ok.

  8. TRY COVENT GARDEN LOTS TO SEE AND BE ENTERTAINED

  9. a bloody pub!!

  10. A walk along the South Bank. There is usually something going on ,ie street entertainers festivals. If it rains theres the Tate Gallery or The London Eye.Pently of eating places/pubs.

Or just sit on a bench ,talk, and watch the world go by.

  12. One of the local budget hotels with a restaurant attached?

    Could be your lucky day.

  13. f*g ash Lil's Greasy spoon.

  14. London Zoo, a gallery, a museum.  Many of these are free too.  Google "London Free Stuff" and you'll get loads of info.

The good thing about these sorts of places is that it makes you look cultural, interesting and intelligent for suggesting it, plus, there are always things to look at and talk about if you have any of those first date nervous pauses.
