  1. Well I haven't been to Jasper in ages so i'm useless in that area but as for Banff,

    Usually these are the things we do when we go;

-Hike sulfur(Rundle) mountains. It's about a 3km hike, maybe 2 to 3 hours depending on your fitness and endurance and who you are hiking with. It used to be a free gondola ride down but i'm pretty sure they charge for it now.

-Visit Bankhead and Lake Minnewanka. Bankhead is a historical mining 'ghost' town and you can actually tour the old mining sites wheras Lake Minnewanka is beautiful and you can actually take boat tours to the middle of the lake were you can see the church steeple. (Lake Minnewanka emcompasses an old town which was entirely flooded when a dam burst years ago)

-The town itself has a ton of nice restaurants and gift shops (though beware the prices can be hefty)

-Visit the Banff Springs Hotel. Even if you're not staying there it's a cool place to visit and they have historical displays all around along with fancy lounges and restaurants.

Hope that gives you a few ideas. Enjoy your trip.

  2. Well both Banff and Jasper are all about the natural beauty, so going on outdoor hikes would be incredible.  When it comes to food things, Banff has a great hambuger joint called Joe Blfstlk or something like that, lol, you will know it because you can't pronounce it because it has no vowels.  Also you can't miss the candy store, and a trip to the Christmas store is always nostalgic.  In Jasper, go to the Columbia Icefields to experience a glacier in the middle of the summer.  Take the sky tram up the mountain and walk around and see the marmots that hang up there.  Really a spectacularly beautiful trip.

  3. I agree that the mountains are all about the outdoors and the scenery.   There are more hikes then you can imagine.  Lakes, waterfalls, streams - so many things to see.

Between Jasper and Banff you need to stop at the Glacier.  If you can afford it, you can even go up the glacier on a special bus.  It is a neat trip.

There are gondolas in both Jasper and Banff.   Beautiful views.   Near Banff there's an old ghost town (Bankhead) that is neat to see.  It was a coal mining community.

Lake Louise is also between Jasper and Banff.  As is Morraine Lake (my favorite).  There are hikes in and around both places.

    Enjoy your time

  4. Banff:

    - Johnston's Canyon. They have at least seven waterfalls during the hike, and if you have enough time, you could hike up to the Ink Pots (small pools of strange jade coloured water).

-Norquay Mountain. There is a "bald spot" where you can see the entire town of Banff.

    - For a easy like, there is Tunnel Mountain.

-Another easy hike with no elevation or anything hard is Fenland Trail.

-You should go to Lake Lousie (just a little ways out of Banff). You could take a boat ride around the lake, check out the hotel, or hike up to the teahouse.

-Emerald Lake is really beautiful, and a great place for boating and eating. Their restaurant is gorgeous.

-Moraine Lake was formed by a glacier, and a fun place to boat as well. There is also a huge rock pile from the glacier.

-Lake Miniwonka. You can hike around the lake, boat, or take a huge tour boat around the lake. Either way, I personally think it's great.

-Takakkaw Falls is a giant waterfall, a must see!

-Gondolas are always fun, and you should take the one up to Sulpher Mountain and check out some stuff there. Try the sushi place up there if you like sushi.

-Cave and Basin was the old hot springs, and it's like a cave exploration, only better.

-But if old hot springs aren't your things, maybe go to the actual working Hot Springs near Banff. There is a small kiddie pool, and a regular pool too.

-Cascades of Time is a garden found right inside Banff, and I heard it's beautiful, hosting many flowers and plants.

-Bankhead is an old mining town, now a ghost town. It's an old historical site that's truly worth seeing.

-The tours to the ice fields are great! The bus is HUGE, and it's fun just to look around. You can even drink the glacier water, which is very interesting because most of the time you don't think to drink water from the ground.

-And I almost forgot about Peyto Lake. A total must see, and wheelchair accesable.

As for Jasper, I'm not sure. xD

    Sorry!
