  1. ETS.org (who provides the test for the GRE) has sample questions and sources to help you prepare and it's free and online.  They do have additional resources for a fee.  Number2.com has a free online test as well.  It has sample questions and the site tries to adjust depending on your answeres.  The problem with the GRE samples is that only x-amount of questions are available.  Number2.com allows you to to take the test and then asks you a few more to help you out.  The drawback is after you have received 30 questions and feel you have improved, then you have to reregister to try to improve your score.   They do have a vocab builder that is quite useful.  Good Luck.

  2. Big book was the most useful one for me.

  3. go to the library they have lots of free books to look at you can even check them out.
