try to visit T. Nagar area like pondy bazaar, Renganathan street, Purasaiwalkam , Washermenpet,  Usman road,  mount road, Alwarpet, Luz in Mylapore and much more.

For some cool cotton kurtas and kurtis, I think Fab India is the right place! If you are looking for something fancy/glamourous, then you have Her Choice & Surang, which are boutiques, so a trifle expensive too!
