Can anyone sum, up the first vampire beach series book for me????

i want to know what its about but PLEASE dont give away the ending. all i want to know is what the main points are please dont spoil it for me. i also want to kno the name of the first book and the order all the books go in.

P.S. i read the twilight saga and i love that vampire romance stuff were girl falls in love with vampire guy but he knows he shouldnt love her but he still does and even if its the other way around i like the type of book were someones writing it like a diary like in twilight its kinda like bellas diary any suggestions on books like that?!?!
