The requirement of the interview is it has to be with someone who is at least 20 yrs older then myself. I am 20yrs so anyone 40yrs+ would be perfect.

How do you describe the differences between the people who are:

-upper class

-upper middle class

-lower middle class

-working class

-lower class

Do you think that people in these groups look different or live differently than they did 20 years ago? Do you think thatg most people remain in the same class or move to a different class over the course of a lifetime?

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time out to answer these!!!!

  1. i was in upper class as my dad was rich but he was sole breadwinner.  he died and we went down to low class, real low, no $$, no income.  mum had to do 2 jobs to feed us,  so slowly we worked our way and now in between lower / upper middle class.

so it depends on circumstances and situation.  movements can be swift but mainly slow as we can see in many communities and children follow their parents.

and rich too- sometimes it doesnt last more than 3 generations.  u can see for yourself.  where are the rich pple of the 1940s?  the new rich keep coming in and the old rich disappears or shrink

  2. Very good question.

The differences between the major classes comes down to economics. The dividing lines being what you need, verses what you want.

As a person who grew up in the lower (lowest class), I was determined not to remain at the rung on the economic ladder. Unfortunately, most people don't think that way. Lower class uses the blame game to shift blame from themselves to those of the upper class. Currently I enjoy, for what its worth being in the lower middle class, with visions of moving up to the upper middle glass within 5 years.

Peoples in each group live no differently then they did 20 or 40 years ago. It boils down to attitude. Are you satisfied being in the rung that you exist now? Do you see yourself moving up the ladder? or are you blaming society for all your problems?

We do have one major glitch that was not in the puzzle prior to 1992. We are developing into 2 major classes. The rich and the poor. Hopefully, I will dodge that bullet (poor) before passing on. LOL.
