Can anyone teach me words that mean things like..

Babe, Baby, Mate, Best friend, love, i love you.

I have a friend in Turkey and he speaks to me on msn (ive met him.) and hes so good at English and I know so little Turkish, I can swear in Turkish and thats about it, he calls me baby and I have nothing to call him back.

Can someone teach me a few words/phrases in Turkish please?

  1. You could use "canım" (pronounced jahn um) which means "my dear"/"darling". "dostum" which means "mate"/"my best friend", "bebeğim" (pronounced bay bay im) which means "babe"/"my baby", "aşkım" (pronounced ash kum) which means "my love", "seni seviyorum" which means "I love you".

You can also put a possessive ending onto it such as "aşkım benim", "canım benim" which makes it stronger/more personal/intimate.

Personally, I wouldn't use "dostum" in a romantic context which all the others are suitable for.

  2. If he is calling you as "Baby" you can call him back

    Askim - My love

    Erkegim - My man

    Kahramanim - My hero

    Sevgilim - My darling

    Birtanem - My singleone

    Yakisiklim - My handsome

    You can say to him;

I've never meet with a man like you in my life!

Hayatimda senin gibi bir erkekle daha once hic karsilasmadim!

    You are unique!

    Sen essizsin!

    You are in my heart!

    Kalbimdesin!

My pillow like a cactus to my face when I am far away from you...(Wow :) )

Senden ayriyken yastigim yuzume kaktus oluyor...

    ....

I hope it is enough for the time being... :)
