  1. It's actually bad to play defensively, you're supposed to always attack and defend at the same time. I suck at that too, though, so oh well.

The first move you should make is to move the pawn in front of the king one or two spaces. It's the best possible opening move. Follow that up with a move with the pawn in front of the queen. Then move a knight so if guards one of the pawns.

  2. Any good chess computer. You will quickly note after a few games that most leads in up with quick loss.

I like to lead with moving all pawns up one space for the most capital pieces anyway. I've beaten two masters in my day and that's enough of insulting my intellectual superiors for this brain injured fellow. So I lead with a move that shouldn't work, and when it does it's all the more gratifying.

  3. After, say 1 e4 I have to give you lines for 1...e5, 1... c5, 1...e3, 1... c3, 1...Nf6. (Plus the Pirc - all else becomes the Pirc.:))

The we have if you play black.:)

  4. Actually, no one can teach you this.

  5. the horsey!

  6. Well its always good to move the two front pawns in front of you king and queen out, because for one you gain control over the center squares and for two it opens up you queen and both bishops
