  3. Well there is one thing and that is carrots. Eat carrots and it will help improve your vision.

    OH and never ever read in the dark, that deducts or vision and you get glasses from that

  4. Carrots do have some vitamins important in vision, but so do almost all richly coloured vegetables. Don't over eat them though, they can turn your skin orange if you overindulge.

    Also, they aren't a magic cure for refractory problems, which are caused by the shape of the eyeball not focusing the lens on the back of the eye.  Aging eyes can get stiff lenses, and you need reading glasses.  The only way to correct for these various focusing issues is lenses, to correct for the defect.

    Squinting or pressing on your eyeballs can temporarily change the shape of the eye and improve your vision, but no amount of exercising the muscle will lead to anything permanent.  Some people will recommend the "Bates Method", but is doesn't work.  This has been shown in many studies.

    Watching too much or sitting too close to the TV has not been shown to have any negative impact to vision in studies, despite what our moms always said.  Same goes for computers.

  5. You could do eye exercises. I know a lady who strengthened her eyes to the point where she no longer wears glasses.

    She swears it was by doing eye exercises every day.

    Here's what she did:

    Roll your eyes in a slow circle clockwise a few times. Then roll them counter clockwise the same number of times.

    Do this several times:

    Look down hard to the lower left and right, then look up to the upper left and right. Look straight up with your eyes, and straight down. Look to the left and then to the right.

    Look at your thumb, then at the wall. Then back at you thumb, then back at the wall several times.

    Do this sort of thing every day and see if it helps improve your vision. I can't hurt, and if it doesn't help, you're certainly not out anything.

    just you can stop it from getting worse...

  8. Carrots. Do eye excercises. Like rolling them. Something like that and don't strain then. No tv in the dark or reading.
