Can anyone tell me, what is the connection with Peter Jones and John Lewis?

Do you mean Peter jones in sloane square?  I think basically it is a John Lewis but is allowed to use that name - perhaps the name of the store previously.  The John Lewis in Nottingham used to always be called Jessops.  But not sure.
